6/10/2022 – IWITS & IWATS Edge & Chrome Web Browser Update

Last night, Thursday, June 9th, 2022, our staff completed deploying the updates for IWITS and IWATS making these systems compatible with Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.

If you have a desktop shortcut to IWITS and/or IWATS, you may need to recreate the shortcuts on your desktop if they are opening IWITS and/or IWATS in Internet Explorer. We do not control which browser IWITS and IWATS open within your district council or local organization.

If you are using Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, the first time you attempt to login to IWITS or IWATS, you may be prompted to allow Pop-ups.

Allow Pop-ups

  1. In Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, navigate to https://iwonline.iwintl.org/iwits/live/logging/Login.aspx
  2. On the login screen, enter your user id and password and submit
  3. The screen may now appear blank, and notice at the top right of the address bar the icon with the red x as illustrated below.
  4. Click on this and choose ‘Always allow pop-ups and redirects from https://iwonline.iwintl.org’
  5. Click Done, and close Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome completely.
  6. Re-open Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome and navigate to https://iwonline.iwintl.org/iwits/live/logging/Login.aspx

While we have made every effort to test IWITS and IWATS with Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, there may be things that don’t work precisely the way they worked with Internet Explorer. It is also possible that some items may work differently with Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 and Windows 11 computers.

As always, if you find something isn’t working as expected, please submit any issue(s) or questions you may have to our IT Help Desk at ithelpdesk@iwintl.org.

When issues are reported that may affect all users, we will post updates of the known problem and any workaround available on this support site.
