August 8, 2024 Update: Includes information on updates that will be released to IWITS this evening.

Tonight, an update will be done in IWITS to fix the following current issues.

1. Travelers who suspend in their home local– Travelers who suspend in their home local will be made inactive in the travel local, the ability to enter travel service dues will be disabled, and locals will not have the ability to add the member as a traveler.
2. Deceased Activity-The date of death from the official death certificate is the date to be entered when the activity is created. You will be prompted to upload a digital copy of the death certificate. However, you will still need to mail an original paper copy of the official death certificate to the General Treasurer’s Office as you have always done as well. These updates will help expedite the process and the payment to the member’s beneficiary.
3. Email address constraints to prevent duplicates– Constraints have been added where an email for a member cannot be duplicated. An email can only be used once, and the same one cannot be used for multiple members.
