As you may be aware, Microsoft plans to phase out the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser beginning June 15th, 2022. Some users have noted that Microsoft has already started encouraging users to make this transition by automatically redirecting users to the Microsoft Edge web browser if they attempt to open web pages in Internet Explorer.
Since last year, we have been working on updating IWITS & IWATS to be fully compatible with Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge and removing the dependencies on Internet Explorer Compatibility mode. Again, we thank you for your patience and understanding while we worked to make this happen.
During the evening of Thursday, June 9th, 2022, our team will deploy updates for IWITS & IWATS allowing these systems to function with Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge web browsers.
On Friday, June 10th, 2022, IWITS & IWATS will not be supported on Microsoft Internet Explorer; please be prepared to use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge to access IWITS & IWATS.
If you are using Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, the first time you attempt to login to IWITS or IWATS, you may be prompted to allow Pop-ups.
Allow Pop-ups
- In Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, navigate to https://iwonline.iwintl.org/iwits/live/logging/Login.aspx
- On the login screen, enter your user id and password and submit
- The screen may now appear blank, and notice at the top right of the address bar the icon with the red x as illustrated below.
- Click on this and choose ‘Always allow pop-ups and redirects from https://iwonline.iwintl.org’
- Click Done, and close Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome completely.
- Re-open Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome and navigate to https://iwonline.iwintl.org/iwits/live/logging/Login.aspx

While we have made every effort to test IWITS and IWATS with Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, there may be things that don’t work precisely the way they worked with Internet Explorer. It is also possible that some items may work differently with Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 and Windows 11 computers.
As always, if you find something isn’t working as expected, please submit any issue(s) or questions you may have to our IT Help Desk at ithelpdesk@iwintl.org.
When issues are reported that may affect all users, we will post updates of the known problem and any workaround available on this support site.
